I have been hearing a song that is pretty old since I remember it from when I was a small boy. I think the title of it is "Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like, Christmas" and I keep wondering what that must be these days. Someone is using the song for their commercial so maybe Muslims and atheists won't take umbrage at it since it only says the word Christmas which neither of them likes that dirty word.

The streets around here are beginning to look like Christmas with all the lights and such. That is in residential areas where we still try to make like Chevy Chase in that movie. We don't have a lot of atheists and no Muslims so none of them can be against what we hicky country people do to decorate.

I am just wondering what Christmas in the cities of the nation looks like since we aren't allowed to celebrate it like we could 50 years ago. We still do but not many city people come by here to see what we do.

There are plenty of lights up in my urban area. Is this really a serious question?

Almost every townhouse in my development is decorated. Even,
(gasp!), one of my Muslim neighbors. They have lots of pretty lights and a big ole blow up Frosty the Snowman.

I love living in a diverse neighborhood and this being my first Chrismas here, am suprised to see so much more effort put into decorating than the old conservative, all white neighborhood I moved from. They barely did anything the entire ten years I lived there. Don't miss any of them one single bit!

Plenty of Christmas lights down Beverly and Rodeo drive, but the neighborhood itself is very Orthodox. We have Christmas lights though.
The lights on Beverly look like shooting stars as they stream through the trees.
We had our lights going since before Thanksgiving.

Looks like this...And yes, we are atheists and our neighbors are Jews. No idea why anyone would have a problem with you putting up Christmas decorations on your private property.

Earth to Roy: You're allowed to celebrate your religious holiday however the hell you want to.

Unless you're a Muslim in Roytown, I imagine. Then you probably get shot.

Wow, you look like you could live in my neighborhood. Same type houses and decorations. I love the Christmas lights. They make me happy.

I live in Bellevue WA near downtown. Every year Bellevue godfather Kemper Freeman puts on a rollicking Christmas spectacle all along Bellevue Way which is the main drag in Bellevue.
