"Al Qaeda" is indeed a catch-all phrase, that was caught equally by both sides (by Osama Bin Laden, as well as those who wanted to keep the military industrial complex well lubricated and running). But the label itself is said to be synonym for CIA's database of Afghan Freedom Fighters... the "good" guys, the Islamic fundamentalists who we supported through the 1980s against those "commies".
Yeah, let us not forget the famous picture of FDR and Churchill alongside Papa Joe.
Our actions in the 80's in afghanistan were payback for them helping make life suck for us in Korea and Vietnam. They weren't the "good guys" the russians were the "bad guys".

Um, the guy you are excoriating was merely pointing out that the original source is a known source of satire.
If Saturday Night Live does a sketch about Mitt Romney eating babies that someone posts up as fact.....and I happen to point out that SNL is a comedy site and not a news source....are you going to yell at me for saying baby cannibalism is comedic?

Michael Scheuer was the head of the CIAs Bin laden unit that told us the reasons for the attack. That's the truth, you can make it about anything you want in order to deny and deflect from the issue.
Are you saying Scheuer never said any of these things or the video was satire? which one?
