Well that was about lying under oath, Newts was because he was teaching a class.

Some haven't forgotten. I think its entirely possible tha the polls suggesting Newt is surging are being fabricated. I'll go one step further and say that I think we've reached a point where the primaries of both parties are rigged as are the elections. Hillary won the primary but the party gave it to Obama.
Go one step further and you decide if its the GOP who may want to keep Obama in office for another term. He's obviously owned and controlled by the powers that run both parties and he rolls over and gives them whayever they want. They can say they hate him and he should be kicked out of office and made into public enemy number one, a patsy and a fall guy, but they want him right where he is to keep pushing the policies they want.
So Newt runs and throws the election. Who knows what they have on him. If Obama can't win then Newt continues the Bush/Obama agenda. Or if its close they'll order in a spoiler, Donald Trump to bleed off votes and let Obama win that way.
Face it, both parties are corrupt and the elections are a fraud. The only way you'll ever hope to start fixing the country is to elect somebody outside of the system, an independant.
