sorta RINO in the old nearly extinct Yankee/Northeast Republican mold.
Welcome to the club of the politically homeless. You fit neither GOP nor DEM orthodoxy.
Read the boards for the hard core conservative/liberal (Start at Red State/ Daily KOS) to see just how much disdain the hard cores have for anyone with such heretical mixing of views.

Conservative vs. Liberal Beliefs
You have more than two choices you know. It's a false dichotomy.

I have an idea for your homeless "RINOs". Why don't you go take your party back? It was your party before it was theirs. Religious kooks and conspiracy cranks used to be politically homeless until they stole the GOP. I'd rather see them casting about in the political desert than you guys.

I don't know about the OP, but I wouldn't call myself a RINO. RINO's to me are invariably big-gov't, tax-and-spenders.

I see very little problem with the 'religious kooks.' I have yet to encounter one that put a gun to my head and forced me to go to church. OTOH, I can real off a half-dozen ways that local liberal elected officials are forcing me to do things I don't want to do, or prohibiting me from things that I do want.

If a candidate is running around saying that god told her this, god told her that, now that could give me pause. I might not want her hand on the button. But that kind of thing is really fairly unusual in practice.
