Why is an "unbiased" journalist like O'Reilly fundraising for a specific candidate to begin with?
He wasn't; he happened to be staying in the hotel where the fundraiser was held. I don't know if he ever does fundraising for candidates, but he was not this time.
I heard him tell the guy to leave him alone. Why didn't the guy leave him alone? If you continue to follow someone after they say this to you, aren't you the attacker?

If that was the case, every tabloid magazine and paparazzi tv show would be out of business.
It's protected under the constitution with freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Just because someone may be annoying to you, doesn't give you the right to assault them like Bill-O did.

So it's okay to run up to someone in the dark screaming? I would have punched him-you don't know what the H*&* the guy is doing...that's why he opened his umbrella-he was trying to protect his 5'2" assistant....
I don't care who you are..you don't have a right to run up to someone in the dark screaming-

There was no "running up in the dark screaming" To perhaps the average person this would be odd, but to someone well known like Bill-o, it's a common occurrence to have strangers approach them and ask them questions, ask for a photo or autograph etc,.. In the video I posted earlier, Olbermann said he had about 6 people approach him on the street alone that day.
The person was talking to him for a little while before Bill-o attacked him.
You can try to spin it all you like, but bill was out of line and should not have attacked the man.
