Wal*Mart started the $4 prescription deal. Not only are Wal*Mart customers benefiting from that, but customers of other pharmacies that have followed suit and offered similar deals are also benefiting from Wal*Mart's low prices. And that's just one highly visible example.
Walmart received 1 billion in government subsidies...
Walmart lobbies government for tax cuts....
Walmart benefits from regulations that killed the manufacturing sector in the US..
Walmart benefits from regulations and bureaucratic red tape that prevents start up businesses... like Mom and Pop businesses from ever getting to their level...
Walmart is constructed off of bureaucratic red tape... not much unlike any other corporate monolith...

I never absolved the public from the blame....But I do blame them for their role in suppressing venture capitalism

Nobody is resenting success...At least I am not... I am resenting the systematic screwery that bureaucracy is. This system we are in now is not Laissez Faire. Anybody who agrees that it is does not know the definition of Capitalism.

I do believe in intellectual property rights, however, in the form of royalties and not bludgeoning and strangling competition from the market until the technology is irrelevant.

Look at where those drugs come from.
When you spend 1.00 at wm, .15 cents stays in the local community, when you shop local .70 cents. So, no no-one is saving money.
Yes, stop shopping at W-M and support a local business whenever possible.
I have done that all my life.
Shop at the corner store now, or there will be no choice later.
Those of you old enough, look at what happened when 'supermarkets' were invented!
We no longer have little neighborhood groceries with friendly faces and local produce.
