I would have no problem as I have had black neighbors AND racist white neighbors. I loved them both. Very good people. The white racist has gone out of his way to help EVERYONE (yes even black people that he did not like) when they needed help.
This thread and it's OP is ridiculous. I would rather my daughter marry the person she loves, whomever.
I would prefer to live next to a good neighbor, whoever they may be. Whether they are black, white, asian, indian, etc etc etc, I don't care. I care about the person they are, and not what YOU think they are.
The only way such a poll would even be remotely illuminating is if it were directed only at white people who claim not to be racist. Even so, an odd juxtaposition of choices if there ever was.
Not enough information for me to make a decision. I'd rather have a neighbor with similar political/ethical philosophy, as I consider that the most important attribute in life above all else. Neither of the two choices tell me what I need to know.
I'll be the sacrificial lamb here and play along and tell you racist, if one is itching for somebody to answer that way so the fury can be unleashed. If the racist has viewpoints very similar to mine, I'd invite him to live next door. If the black guy did, then he'd be invited. Either way, don't give a damn which one it is... he just better be like me.

Would you rather live next door to a black man or a racist white? Which would you rather your daughter marry? A white supermacist or a black guy?
(1) I would rather live next door to a black man if he is freindly, considerate, keeps his yard clean and is neighborly and is not a felon or racial extremist. Of course if the white racist is friendly, considerate, keeps his yard clean and is neighborly and is not a felon or a racial extremist, I wouldn't give a damn if he was my neighbor either. Political, social or viewpoints on race don't make any difference to me as long as he is a good neighbor.
(2) I would want my daughter to marry someone who is intelligent, has simular religious, social, political and cultural viewpoints and is a responsible person that has a good profession and is able to provide a good living for my daughter and their family. I wouldn't want my daughter to marry a drug addict, alcoholic, OWS idiot, hippy, sex pervert, homosexual, tranvestite or someone that chases after every skirt he sees in sight, -male or female.
