One of the latest key bills that's in congress at the moment is what to do with the middle class tax cuts that are set to expire at the end of the year. One side feels the middle class should get a $1,500 tax cut and paying for it by pulling back on the Bush tax cuts from those making over 1 million a year, while the other side feels the middle class should get a $1,000 tax increase so those making over $1 million can keep their tax cuts.
Which do you feel is the right thing to do?

neither
get rid of the payroll tax completely and tax all companies at a rate of 25% that do not have their main manufacturing plants in the USA.
all companies that do have plants in the USA get taxed at a rate of 2%.

Not exactly. One side feels the middle class should give up a temporary $1,000 tax cut which will take money from Social Security. The other side feels that taxes should be increased on certain people.

Don't increase taxes on anybody. Repeal the payroll tax cut, but also cut other taxes so it evens out. Cut spending dramatically.
Well of course Republicans want to increase taxes on the middle class and poor to pay for all the corporate welfare, defense contractors, oil subsidies, agri subsidies etc.
Too bad the OP still has not learned to post an unbiased poll. The "middle class tax cut" places Social Security in further financial jeopardy. The payroll taxcut failed to stimulate the economy and yet Obamabots want the same failed policies over and over again.
Why does Obama want to destroy Social Security?
Close the funding door on Obamacare to fund the middle class tax cut and put that money back into Medicare & Social Security. Place Social Security in a lockbox so Congress and the POTUS cannot use it as a political slush fund. Problem solved.

now see that UE rate go down.
I agree with this type of plan and the dems did propose a similar bill last year that was shot down by the GOP. With the GOP having any kind of control in congress, trying to stop the offshoring of our desperately needed jobs isn't going to happen.
Otherwise at this moment it's pretty much crunch time on the tax cuts issue.

if the gop would have suggested this, the dems would have shot it down as well.
plus the fact that the dems had both houses for 2 years and did not do it then. neither side wants to do this, they just want to look good for their voters.
fire all those slimesucking jerks from office.
