I find that people who complain about the "race card" the most are the racists themselves. Racists will always make excuses for their hateful actions and beliefs. When minorities complain about racism no matter how legitimate, the racists see it as playing the race card and not as an injustice from the person committing the racism.
A true racist would never hide from being called a racist.You think KKK members hide from being called a racist.
So its more like those who feel they are not racist whom decide to defend themselves from the term will say they are not racist.
If someone calls you a thief and you are not a thief would you defend yourself or accept the label?
Unfortunately, there is far more racism across the board now than there was in the 1980's and early/mid 90's so we are sliding backwards

Oh Please. The right has done everything in their power to divide this nation further than it even has been, all in the name of Politics, to say otherwise is delusional at best, dishonest most likely.

This nation was founded on bigotry and racism. But yes, slavery is over. And if you have never owned slaves, you have nothing to feel guilty about, so there should be never any reason or need to get defensive when someone black points out inequities or discrimnation. And you also have no business presumtuously trying to dictate how someone else should feel about that or get butt-hurt about the race card if your picture was never on it.
However, covert racism, the intangible undercover kind that cant be easily documented still rages.
And the perpetrators are the arrogant people who maintain an elitist slave owner mentality and outlook toward Afro Americans. Maybe they just wish they'd all go away. Pereferably "back to Africa", because blacks, like Obama, are what has been so very wrong with this great nation over the centuries, as if the Africans ever chose to come here.

These are up to the individual not the race.. Wealth is earned not given, medical prospects are a result of employment, prison is in direct relation to how you live in our society..
These have nothing to do with racism and everything to do with individual responsibility.
You may be right about that, but I will still use it until racism is completely out the picture and/or when the percentage of the white population is equal to the black, hispanic, mexcian etc.
