Update 2: An NBC insider tells Mediaite that NBC News President Steve Capus addressed this story this morning at an editorial meeting, and stressed the need for accuracy, fairness, and caution before proceeding. Capus is reportedly furious at the way the story was handled, and MSNBC is in the process of apologizing to the Romney campaign.
MSNBC works hand in hand with the far-left lunatic fringe blogs/websites and get a LOT of their "news" from these sources.
Is it ANY wonder they suck hind mammary glands in the ratings?
Democrats have had a long and unpleasant history with race, beginning with their defense of slavery during the Civil War, and support of racial discrimination in its aftermath. In time, largely by propagating the “working man’s party” myth, Democrats were able to win over a significant majority of black voters, and continue to reign in urban districts by keeping the focus on welfare programs. Oddly, they hold up black liberals as untouchable, while pretending to ignore media attacks on black conservatives like Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and former presidential candidate Alan Keyes.
Given Democrats’ record of inconsistent racial attitudes, it should come as no surprise that they are playing the race card; not only against Republicans, but more specifically the nonpartisan Tea Party movement, which MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann has labeled "the Tea Klux Klan."
The channel is unwatchable. To accuse the son of a man that marched with MLK as somehow channelling the KKK because he used a phrase that was slogan 100 years ago by the KKK is just plain nasty.
good post again Sanrene. Long ago there was a famous essay about the 'paranoid style' in American right wing politics. I think it's fair to say now that there is a rabid style in American left wing politics. They're constantly lashing out with these vicious, irrational attacks. Like when they tried to implicate Sarah Palin in the shooting of Rep. Giffords. The shooting happened on a Sat. AM, and the attacks were all over the net by that evening. Even lib NYT columnist Charles Blow concluded that it was absurd to blame Palin. Or the lefty blogger that got caught urging false attacks of 'call them racist' on random conservatives. The idiocy of the 'Bush lied, thousand died' meme.
These people are rabid; there is something seriously wrong with them.
And the Lefties try to say that people who watch FOX are being mislead! LMAO!
