Prior to that, I'd like to hear an actual argument of why the government should give a flying duck about the Bible at all.

You know, considering we're a secular nation?

All americans should be thanking those conservatives. They are standing up for everyone's constitutional rights. Right to free speech. Freedom of religion. If we lose our rights, we will all be worse off.

You want some change? Then stop with the word "marriage" - try "civil union". You'll get farther.
Agreed. I'm not religious, and would opt for a civil union. Funny - as a woman marrying a man, I didn't have that option. Now whose being discriminated against?

The real reason the movement insists on calling it marriage, and not being satisfied with a civil union is because their real agenda is anti-religion. But they'll never admit it to themselves.

I wish the GOP would just put up a bill that calls it civil union, and be done with it. Then we'd see the truth.

If one sin should have no civil rights granted, then none of them should.

I wish that those people would stand up for American rights when we're being zapped and frisked at the TSA lines at the airports.

Is that statment from the bible? Who woulda thunk it, the bible says that we should pay attention to the bible.

Can you post a single piece of empirical evidence not from the bible that proves that your god even exists?
