Why don't we start building "Welfare Camps"?

We could gas em at a slow enough pace that most people would not know until it was way way too late.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I absolutely support helping people when they are down or on hard times. However, I think when society shifts from being productive to depending on the government to meet all of their needs then society degrades to socialism, with no hope for a brighter future.

$5M bonus to Oregon for food stamp efficiency. Oh, and now food stamps are "SNAP"!

Why not just make everything "for free"?
Why should everyone even have to work anyway?

Here's what every American should get for free:

A well-paying job (regardless of qualifications)
A car (with FREE oil changes)
A home (with FREE cable TV)
A high-level education
Pay NO taxes unless you are "rich"

What else should everyone get for free?

(sarcasm of course)
Awe... you were on an OWS roll there, until the last line in your post.

Posts that aren't whiny diatribes that ignore the larger issues. That's what I'd like to get for free. Maybe free forum administrators who ban people for posting arguments with no logic behind them or people who don't post just based on emotion.

Oddly, I don't see any posts complaining about the lack of regulation in the financial industry that led to the Great Recession and low economic growth that the US has now.

The intention of my post is to create awareness. This is logical enough.

So you are saying to "ban" people because a post is not scholarly written?

Default Stupidity about Welfare

Wow, the intelligence of some people just....underwhelms me. Hah. Let me just say this, my dears. None of you should be quick to judge or quick to comment. Especially when it's on a subject you know nothing about, and would rather assume you did and ***** and moan about it. By the way, when you assume things...it makes an ASS out of U and ME. Although, I am well knowledgeable enough to know that, the ones commenting on FREE FREE stuff in a pre-teen type hype are nothing but bored and ignored people. Otherwise you wouldn't be trash talking the elderly, disabled and poverty stricken obtaining welfare benefits, now would you? I have had many jobs. I am well school, and so is my family. We have all seen hard times, wether it be a close family member a friend or an acquaintance. No one is exempt from getting help. As far as welfare goes, the people that are on it , are on it because they have met the requirements to obtain their government help. Meaning, Blindness, Disabled, or having no funds what so ever. Let me just say this before I go any further. Nothing we have is secure. Nothing. Not our jobs, our homes, out belongings, our vehicles our bank accounts. Nothing is secure. You could lose your job, or become disabled. Eventually you will become elderly. Houses burn down, and belongings get reposessed. What would you do if one day you had a great job, a beautiful house and nice things? Now, what would you do if the next day you had gotten fired....no job. Your house and the things in it burnt down to a crisp. You have no money. No job, nowhere to go and now, now shirt to even put on your back. What do you do? I guess just make a home in a cardboard box and cover up with a newspaper because you are too proud to let someone know you don't have a pocket to **** in, and you refuse to get government help. What would you do, if you were in a car accident tomorrow? Became a total vegetable? Certainly no job then. Hospital bills out the wazoo. Still wouldn't want government help then? Of course not, your too proud for that. You like your cardboard box, your newspaper sheets and dumpster diving every night for your 8 o'clock supper time meal. You know it rednecks like you all that give America a really bad name. People are on Welfare for a reason. If the government didn't agree to help those in need there wouldn't be help for food, housing, medical expenses, or phones. Now let me leave this thought with you all. What is your brother, sister, mom, dad, grandparent, friend or child came to you and needed help of some kind? You would give it to them, right? I would hope so. If you didn't give them help though the government would, right? So what's the difference? A hand out is a hand out. I prefer calling it temporary help for people that need it the most. All I can say is I am proud to be an American but ashamed at the intelligence this country lacks....
