I wonder why Maher never attacks Islam? Could it be that he supports honor killings, stonings of women, executions of gays, and suppression of free speech? Probably.
Actually he has attacked Islam on his show at least twice that I have seen. He believes that their radical side is way too radical and tolerated. He has had Muslim panel members try to tell him that it's not all bad but he's having a very hard time changing his views on that.
People like maher are dangerous in that they have a large audience who believe everything he says...when it just isn't true. If that a-hole took a dirt nap tomorrow, the world would suddenly be a better place.
The same could be said about Limbaugh, Beck, O'Reilly, etc...
3 pages of foaming at the mouth against Bill M, a couple of strawmen, and yet not much discussion of what he said in the OP. Some people do need to develop a sense of humor and switch off hannity et al once in a while.
Sure. I am incapable of appreciating satire, as I am obtuse. Satire is subtle and entertaining. Hateful, predictable rhetoric is not. This is not satire, it is a mean spirited, predictable diatribe by a man who hates Christianity, yet cannot understand the irony for his lack of condemnation of Islam and totalitarianism. I hope that you can appreciate that.
I am intrigued by the dull witted who "appreciate" Maher's humor, as it is just as subtle as "The Three Stooges". It is not intelligent, clever, or insightful at all. I guess for those who like physical humor, it is probably entertaining. I, for one, have never found Chevy Chase tripping to be funny, nor is Bill Maher funny. Even though he is a lib, John Stewart is actually entertaining, as he is more understated and clever.
Again, I wonder if Maher will start a routine about Mohammed at Rhamadan? Of course not. That would be offensive.
Not to mention dangerous. People like Maher (bullies) are not known for their physical courage.
