Agreed. "Trickle up Poverty", the policy of leftists, is the same plan that made the USSR, North Korea and Cuba the economic power houses of the world. When the objective is "fairness" and uniformity of outcome, mayhem results.

Witness North vs South Korea. We have the same demographic with markedly different economic policies. One promotes a market based economy, the other "trickle up poverty". In the North, the average annual income is $1800 per year. In the South, the average annual income is $31,000 per year.

Objectives of "fairness" and "wealth redistribution" results in misery for everyone. The only group that benefits is the political entity in power which advocates such policies. Like the tyrants of North Korea, who rule over a slave state of serfs, this is the objective of the liberal elites in America. They despise liberty and equal opportunity, and want only power. The modern liberal is certainly the greatest threat of totalitarianism the US has seen, and is more ominous than any foreign army. What is their friend? Ignorance and the blind allegiance to policies which defy simple common sense.

This entire thread and the poll options are ridiculous

See how powerful progressives are, they have managed to defeat gravity and make something trickle UP

reagan encouraged debt said it was meaningless, magic money. there was never trickle up poverty it was trickle down prosperity and that was bill clinton that said it. u have invented a new word, trickle up poverty, none of the men u quoted ever said it.
btw bill clinton reduced the national debt by 1/3.
u r rewriting history friend.

I agree with every part of your post. But to give Bill Clinton sole credit for reducing the national debt is wrong. He was led kicking and screaming by a Republican Congress or he would have never reduced the debt.

He was also the benefactor of the dot.com boom among other things.

What you describe as a recipe for failure seems to work quite well in a number of countries, for instance in Europe

Gee Thanks! I haven't heard the asinine 'KoolAid' BS in quite some time, I guess it's never too late for the righties to trot out that mask for their total lack of anything meaningful to say.

It's actually more appropriate for those who would pee on you and try and convince you it's rain, aka: the trickle down theorists.

A lot of smart ass commenting by typical Neo-cons here without any proof of their "glorious" poverty plan of trickle down bull crap.

Where to start shall we?

Trickle down economics makes it easier for a small percentage of the population to control the wealth which in the long run places hurts society and the middle class. I believe a lot of the problems we face today were strongly implemented by Reagan's careless tax cuts.

The fact of the matter is trickle down just doesn't work and is not beneficial to the population as a whole. It supports and enforces an elitist system of economics in which a small amount of people can control the means of wealth and production and keep it relatively to themselves and their patrons no matter how "hard" someone else works.

Nothing but kool aid drinking neo-cons in here worshiping junk economics and closing their ears whenever someone sane tries to knock some sense into them.

You all are the cancer in this country.

Christ almighty, those three regimes are not good examples of what we are talking about here. They are corrupt oligarchies in which a few rule or ruled the entire populace. Not good example of strong social democracies with good public policies.

Lets take examples of good ones. The nordics of Denmark, Sweden and Finland. As well the Central European countries of Germany, Austria, France and the Netherlands.

Granted all countries have some problems to an extent but these are prime examples of countries that put forth money to social programs and public infrastructure in order to benefit the populace and they all have GDP and standards of living similar to the western world. Many are in fact regarded as higher than in the USA.

You will probably try to debunk this in some moronic manner so I'll just wait for that moment to come.
