Beats me why anyone would continue to support Obama.

Looks like the Democrats may be sitting pretty for some time if this is the case.

The real hope is that somewhere down the line a more charismatic and pertier candidate will emerge with the Paul philosophy. Similar to Reagan's victory in "80 after Goldwater's landslide defeat in 1964. Before ideas can be popular they must be brought forth to the American people.

Why did Democrats bother to vote in '72 or Republicans in '64 when it was obvious their candidate was going to lose. Why should I go to the polling booth at all when the odds against my one vote deciding an election of a state or national figure are approximately nil?

The fact is Paul is the only candidate running who is not a devout Keynesian. There is no other choice for many.

Take poor Ron Paul for example. The guy has NO chance of being elected but his followers still drink the koolaid. I don't hate Ron Paul, but he's a bit of a nut and not taken seriously by many in the real world. Anybody willing to look around can see that. It reminds me of the Ralph Nader supporters who campaigned endlessly to a tiny audience but never had a chance and knew it.

Why do people do it?
Principles perhaps?
The idea of sticking to your principles is foreign to 99% of Americans of course.....

Sometimes they cost their side the election. Cough Nader Florida Cough. Yes I know people think they "debunked that" and everyone else with a brain can figure that out of 90K ultra liberal votes for Nader 500+ more would have gone to Gore vs Bush.

Why are liberals sticking by Obama when he is such a miserable failure?
Because almost everyone challenging him is psychotic or even more of a joke.
