Hate threads...

So meaningless and so poorly conceived. There are bad accountants, bad cooks, bad bus drivers, bad produce managers at some grocery stores. But these mindless hate threads attempt to lump ALL of some profession into the bad category.

The most popular targets on this forum seem to be cops, teachers, and lawyers.

To what end? What is accomplished? We're humans. We should be able to operate at levels above our reptile brain remnants.

In any large grouping of people, there will be good and bad. Trying to simplify complex collections of people as one-dimensional is simple-minded in the extreme.

Oh my gosh, Murrieta, is a very nice town, very nice, pretty new not old, new homes, nice area, ncie shopping, not so nice COP. A lot of custom areas, with sprawling custom homes.

No excuse for this behavior at all, over a game of darts, or for any other manner. This is probably the type of police, who when on duty, is a bully.
I do not care police or not, he now needs to do his time. He seems the type of policeman who has a chip on his shoulder, too bad. No excuse for this type of behavior, in this State by arrogant pompas, chip on their shouldere police, or in any other state.

Well lawyers do kind of deserve it. **cough**

I have to admit that I DO find lawyer jokes amusing.

Good points. I have never heard anything negative about the guy from anyone that ever fished with him on long range boats. All the feedback was that he is pretty cool headed. Definitely another side to this story beside some drunk sot interviewed right outside the bar after it happened. Which, so far, is the only 'FACT' that has been witnessed.

Well, I'd argue that having guns in a place that serves alcohol probably should be outlawed. If the officer had been required to leave his preferred 9mm conflict resolution tool in his car or at home, this would have been a boring post about a stupid bar brawl.

(I will now await the surge of posts pointing out that it wasn't a 9mm, but a .345 Freud & Compensation semi-automatic. The point remains.)

This was not police brutality. It was an idiotic drunk that was in violation of his own department's policy by carrying a firearm while drinking doing something stupid. He is responsible for his own actions and certainly wasn't acting in an official capacity.

Your "pig" remark is not even worthy of a response.

While I find the behavior this officer engaged in absolutely terrible and feel that he needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, do you really understand what you are advocating here?

I think he's a criminal, but he is technically innocent until proven guilty and should be treated like all other suspected criminals. Would you favor eliminating trials for all other suspected criminals as well?
