Whoa hold on i voted for Harper last election he seems to be doing a wicked job as "dictatator" and if he starts to suck well in 3 more years we have another free, democratic election to vote in a new "dictator" if we wish so ( BTW never knew we were commuinst now since last time I checked we fought against the Soviet Union and were ready along with the US to fly in B-52's and F-104 Starfighters to go nuke the USSR Soviet commies... Even created a thing Called NORAD to protect the US and Canada from the evil commies back in the 50's to the 80's and shoot we still even use it today to protect our shared North American Airspace...Heck we also joined with westen Europe in a joint venture thing called NATO to also fight the Commies also... So when did we get a dictator again???)

Ayyup; independent is what I'd call it when you went into Iraq after non-existant WMD's and we stayed in Afghanistan.
Look what marching lock-step with you guys cost Tony Blair; virtually a pariah in his own country now due to his brownosing Bushy and Chestnuts.

Oh wait; was your post a result of someone pulling your finger?

Look to the North, you dolts.

Canada is booming, the US is flailing under obamanomics.

The difference is stark, the example instructional.
At least someone in North America has a clue.

Canada weathered the economic meltdown due in large part to the fact that they refused to deregulate their markets and banking system like the US.

I was standing in line about a year ago in Florida (where you can't go anywhere without seeing Canadian plates all over the place!) listening to two Canadian women ***** and complain about everything in the States... I simply ask them... "Why don't you go home then?" Thier answer... "We don't like it there either, but have to go home so often for health care." When will we learn.. the grass isn't always greener no matter what side of the fence we're on?

Their banks are solvent and did not create a fake economy with a housing bubble. Throw in commodities and a smarter gvt to boot.

Neither is having to sell your home to pay to travel to a foreign country to get a medical treatment because it's not available to you, or the waiting list is too long.
