Very good, you "defined" the word, now maybe you can answer the question that was poses, "what IS normal?".

Well first off that is not MY definition. It's the dictionary's definition.
What is normal ? What is accepted. (social norm).
It doesn't happen overnight and forcing it only serves to have it become polarized.
But the instant gratification, got to have it now, all about me group are not content to wait. Patience and evolution and gradual acceptance is not in their playbook. Mandated rules right now is the only way to go...right ?

Recent polls suggest that the question of gay marriage is a toss up. If it is a 50% 50% proposition, What's the norm? I'd say the norm is acceptance of gay sex that accompanies gay marriage is the norm.

Sex outside of marriage is accepted.
Having kids outside of marriage is accepted.
Abortion is accepted.

FYI, society doesn't have to wait until you accept it.
70% of younger Americans accept gay marriage. It is those younger Americans we're talking about. Imposing your beliefs and views on an age group that doesnt share your values is backwards. Their NORM is gay marriage is normal.

I'm still rather annoyed that numbers are so close, especially seeing the idiot remarks made by the anti-gay crowd.
