First thing: there are more blacks in DC vs. the general population, and DC is the seat of the federal government, so it is logical that blacks would be slightly OVERrepresented in some federal agencies.

Second thing: the Washington Times is a loony right-wing rag that is run by several prominent Moonie cult members. If you don't know what a Moonie is, then google it, and then remember these are same loony bins who run the Washington Times. The nonsense the Times spews on any given subject matter is of little consequence.

It might be a loony rag but numbers dont lie as many other sources will verify. Govt jobs should mirror as closely as possible the racial /ethnic makeup of the country to be truly equitable. Blacks account for 17% of government jobs, yet they represent only 12% of the US Population. Whites are underrepresented by four percent. Hispanics are underrepresented as well even more so than whites.. This government is racist against whites and hispanics in regards to government jobs and the numbers dont lie. I realize it isn't popular and taboo to claim racism against whites or hispanics but this is truly the case here

Blacks are GROSSLY overrepresented in the military too. Got a problem with that?

Hispanics? What is that all about? Come clean.

Minorities tend to be lower income and consequently less educated. Perhaps they tend to work for the government because it's all they qualify for? How many educated people of any skin color aspire to work for a government agency?

Lets face it, even if you have a brain but lack a degree or a verifiable marketable skill, the only employers who will even give you an interview are retail, fast food, and the government.

By 4%. Yes, that's a sign of oppression. What's the percentage of Whites who in charge of the government? How many members of the Senate are White?

What if the black candidates were better qualified? You don't want a white quota system do you?

I happen to live in a County where educated people (especially WHITE people) find government work to be HIGHLY prized! They'll leave the private sector in a minute to take a government gig. It happens all the time.

My own wife (who is white) left the private sector to go to work for the government. She has a masters degree.

Jus' Sayin'....
