Am I the only one that is troubled by what I see a trend in anti-dog threads? First it was Obama's dog, now this? I suspect cat lovers are behind this.

The pit bull apologists predictably come out. How many more attacks like this on joggers or toddlers do there need to be before people realize it's the breed.

"But he was such a good dog." Heard that a thousand times, haven't we.

Well, I am a cat lover, but I promise that I had nothing to do with this.

Sorry, too many cases of family dogs never brought up to be fighters or aggressive mauling toddlers for me to be behind pit bulls. Yep, they are status symbols for thugs but it's just not that breed of owner that has aggressive animals.

Can you cite some of those cases of a 'family dog that was not abused' that mauled someone?

The percentage of pit bulls that were not abused which attacked a person is no greater than any other breed. Are you going based on facts, or based on over-hyped news stories?

I will happily provide some instances, I can a number from the past year alone.

My statement is fact based. As I said, I'll provide some sources when I can; most likely after work.
