And as far as rhetoric? Obama wrote the book on exaggerated and broken promises!
I think you're missing a basic point, Obama is the head of the executive branch, it is the legislators in congress that pass the laws, for the last three years the dems control the agenda in the senate but the GOP controls what gets done with the filibuster. So far little has got done and that isn't Obama's fault.

And the record number of cloture votes (those votes that end debate) means nothing... right?

A request for a cloture vote have been a routine means to end debates in the senate even when there is no dispute.

From wiki ," However, the Senate leadership has increasingly utilized cloture as a routine tool to manage the flow of business, even in the absence of any apparent filibuster. For these reasons, the presence or absence of cloture attempts cannot be taken as a reliable guide to the presence or absence of a filibuster. Inasmuch as filibustering does not depend on the use of any specific rules, whether a filibuster is present is always a matter of judgment."

Nice try... The GOP has set the modern record for filibusters (cloture votes that failed).

Not a chance. No one put a gun to this guy's head and said, quick, borrow 6 trillion. Remeber, McCain was against the PACS and for that alone i do not believe he, or any other democrat or republican would have borrowed this much. Not a chance. You assume too much.

No, had it been a republican, the deficits would have been addressed with reduced handouts....er benefits....novel idea....remeber, this guy had some voters actually believing new, free refrigerators were on the way with unlimited healthcare, cheap mortgages and consumer loans because hey, they are a birthright....right?

You are guessing at best and wishing you hadn't voted this clown in at worst. Admit it, you screwed up....you trusted him....how's it working out for you?

I am fine with it....someone has to rein your fool in. He is spending like a drunken sailor.....enough is enough. Someone has to make you realize that you can't have it all....for free.....but, you can earn it all if you want....time to shut down the president's ATM and debit cards......cant't "get mines" forever you know....

Yeah, you are right....someone has to put him in the corner with a dunce hat on.....so now, you have the catholic vote weighing down on him.....you got axelrod, a Jew, and the President, a Muslim, taking on the catholics who are 25% of the voting populace.....can you say, tap dance?

Face it, this troup of clowns has got to go.....perhaps back to college campuses where ethereal thoughts roam and thankfully, seldom collide with the realities of business.....

Hypothesize that!

You enjoy playing fast and loose with fact, $6 trillion in borrowing, really?

The debt was $10.6 trillion plus when Obama came into office, right at the depth of Bush's GREAT RECESSION. Today about $4.5 trillion later, NOT $6 trillion, we are recovering.

Of course, if you got a citation that says Obama borrowed $6 trillion....
