Tiger Woods' ex wife recently purchased a $12 million home in Florida and demolished the 17,000 square foot mansion to the ground so she can build an every grander home on the same spot.

Palm Beach Post : Tiger' Woods' ex-wife Elin Nordegren demolishes $12 million North Palm Beach house to build new home

My question is why aren't we taxing these people when it appears that they have so much money to burn in idiotic fashions? Are we supposed to feel sorry for the likes of Paris Hilton, this Elin gal and the Kardashians?

Why do you hate the people who will have jobs as a result?

The money they spend, in turn, creates employment.

When you allow the politics of envy to dictate taxation, you leave anyone that has accrued anything, open to a financial attack.

This negates their motivation for success, and in turn, stops the creation of jobs.

What the hell kind of thinking is that? It's not the role of government to decide whether or not you should be allowed to make whatever stupid purchases you want.

I thought the left was all about jobs for the middle class?

Do you have any idea how many jobs will be affected by this action?

Some are never satisfied!

If they werent spending it, you'd be complaining, now they are spending it, and creating jobs, and you moan like a little child

Would you rather these people gave their money to government and not created jobs? Why do you hate the middle class and poor?

It's not defence, just take a look at EU politics, in the EU, every problem is answered by raising tax, and then having money thrown at it. The problems just get bigger and more numerous.

I've got it!! Let's burn down Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas. Miami, and Houston. Can you imagine how many jobs would be created rebuilding these cities??!!

Wait a minute...we did Los Angeles in '65 and '92. It wasn't quite rebuilt after that.

OK then, let's add Camden and Cleveland to the list, but we don't necessarily have to rebuild them.

(It's a joke, people)

How many people will be paid to demolish the home and to build the new one?

When those people go on to spend the money they earn, how many more people will be paid?

Think about it that way.
