I used to be a card carrying Republican until the Bush administration. When will the GOP return to sanity? Please leash the religious fringes of the party and you'll be well served. Maybe more moderates will return to the fold.
the wackos paraded by the GOP to the media today make me long for the Reagan my dad voted for, at least Reagan was not an utter disgrace. Its beyond shameful.

Not equally with Bush, no. They do, indeed, have blood on their hands, but they and the American public were lied to by W. He had to invade in the spring before the heat of summer would have forced him to wait another year. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice & Crew cooked up all sorts of BS that pushed the vote their way.
If Congress had had the truth they may have voted entirely differently. If Hans Blix had been able to finish his job in Iraq, I'm certain it would have been a much harder sell, since there were no WMD, even though Bush 41 and Rumsfeld sold WMDs to Saddam. BUsh 41 also sat on the board of Carlyle, the largest manufacturer of munitions in the world, so that the Bush family grew richer with every bomb dropped. I won't even discuss Halliburton and their ties to Cheney and the no-bid contracts they received.
We stopped Saddam from killing civilians so that we could kill civilians in his place. I'm positive that the dead are much happier that they were killed by Bush than Saddam.
They can all rot in hell with Judas, Pontius Pilate, and Hitler. May they live long and be consumed by their guilt, die slowly and painfully, and may the dead that they sent over be waiting on them when they go across.

I see, you have never, ever made friends with or supported someone and then later that friendship goes sour or withdrew that support because they or you weren't what you thought them to be.

Was it a mistake to support Saddam? Yes, at the time it seemed like the right thing to do but, that is life. You roll the dice and take your chances.
