So should the government give him money so he can buy a steak?

And how is the article full of lies?

You said the man was a waiter, he is not, he is a line cook on the grill...reading the entire article and not the paragraph posted would tell you that.

. Once again the vitriol ensues. CNN is irrelevant to those who get real news from linktv.com and free speech tv. We already know America's in the decline, now we need some POSITIVE answers.

There is no line cook in any restaurant in this country who makes that kind of money.

So again, how is this article full of lies?
Do you think these people are lying about their hardwork, the fact that the five children are from previous marriages for each, the health problems, the home they sold at a loss that did not foreclose, the fact that she is a nursing student???? Again, what are the lies???

Not with the line cooks. The restaurant could be sued for that.

Republicans are truly at their worst on issues like this one.

Wages have remained stagnant in this country for all but the very top percentile. Pointing this out is not class warfare. It is simply an assertion of truth. The question is how to fix it. We should not be controlled by a tiny minority of people who literally get to determine who lives and who dies. We're supposed to be a democracy. Instead we are sadly an oligarchy. That's not a viable long term nation. Leave most Americans out of power and you will find yourself doing nothing but building ever bigger fences to keep them out.

Ugh! Try reading the story. This couple has kids who are grown BUT that isnt the issue. These people were doing okay and able to survive and live comfortably, even donating to charity, before a health issue sent the couple into debt which started a downward spiral for them. The woman's heart problems prevent her from working the hours required for her job and the man works as a line cook for 11/hr making $44 steaks.

The article only points out how many people are a life crisis away from poverty, which is true. It's a testament to the sad state of affairs for many americans who have saved and done the right thing for years but now are faced with issues they never imagined. Before you cast judgment try a little empathy for a change. Because despite all your grandstanding on the internet it could happen to you

I read the entire article and sorry to say this but she is hardly hurting for food, she has two kids in college and her husband has a job. They are NOT feeding the rich!!! He is doing his JOB! Why should people feel bad because they worked hard and made enough money to buy a steak at RC? Not sure what this is suppose to make us feel.
