Face reality, son. Obama failed. Plain & simple. And that Professor is probably more educated than you.

Can I ask a question?

What is it about the Obama administration that has been so life-changing for Republicans and their supporters?

I can understand the healthcare legislation -- I wasn't a huge supporter of its final version either. But even with that, the only aspects of it that have gone into effect so far are provisions that prevent healthcare insurance providers from cancelling/denying someone for pre-existing conditions and another provision that allows parents to keep their children on their insurance policies until the age of 25 or 26? I get why you're p*ssed off about the health insurance mandate, but seriously? Has Obama really been that bad?

The economy's bad, but come on, you all know Obama didn't cause that. Let's be honest here: Does anyone really deny the fact that all of this was happening before he came to office?

Taxes haven't been increased. There's been talk about it, but so far nothing's been done. If he had his way, yeah, taxes would probably go up on the highest income earners by as much as 4 percent, but we're talking about going back to where they were 10 years ago. I personally think that there's a way to compromise on this proposal of his in a way that might make some republicans happier, but that's neither here nor there. Point is, he hasn't been this tax radical that everyone thought he would be, has he?

Seriously, what has been so bad under Obama -- that wouldn't have happened under any other president? I want a serious, non-troll response.

That professor is probably arguing in favor of his own self interests.

The hope for America is the relief from obama's policies.

Three years in he all of a sudden realizes the waste in duplicate government agencies? The man's a genius!

Most people are egocentric: they are only concerned about things that affect themselves. The truth about unemployment is evident only when they find themselves unemployed with their jobs outsourced to India, their healthcare cancelled, and, not to mention, the loss of their pension plan. Then, you see, it's a real problem - a problem that the government should do something about!

Doesn't anyone else find that just slightly f*cking criminal?!

I tell you what: I was once among those who thought 'maybe there's a way to reform healthcare that won't affect the business of health care providers but seriously, I've had it with them. They need to be put out of business. That's right. I want the big bad, socialist government to shut them the hell down forever. I honestly don't give a f*ck if tens of thousands of people are unemployed. Hell, the way I see it, drug dealers are "employed," too -- sure, it's unethical, but they're still "employed".

I see anyone who works as an employee for the health insurance industry in essentially the same light now. I don't have anything personal against them - they're making a legal living, I get that. But it's not an honest or an honorable one. Seriously, put these businesses out of business once and for all, and let their employees find more honest people to work for.

Fortunately, I am on my wife's coverage. Otherwise, I would have no insurance and I would probably be forced to move overseas to a country that, you know, actually has rational, educated people who don't buy all this free market vs. socialist b.s.

I agree. If universal healthcare is not a right, then it certainly should be. What else is the purpose of government but to provide for such things? The resistance to this is nothing less than a national disgrace. Most Americans could not afford a major medical expense, even with health insurance - they will be bankrupt; and those unfortunate to need long-term medical treatment will end up on the street. The greatest nation in the world should be able to afford the very best healthcare for all of its citizens.

That Professor only has a Liberal Arts degree. How hard could that be? The man is clearly out of touch with the real world.
