I would suggest before weighing in that one know some details of this beyond a mainstream media account of events.

What's the rush? Take your time and get it right. Don't make another TARP-like rush decision.

I know....I have another thread about the proposal and some people have defended their opposition in weird ways. One even said that he opposes it coming from Obama, but would support it from Romney. That pretty much crystallizes the mindset.

PRESIDENT SEEKS MORE POWER- this is how Righties choose to spin this story? You should be praising him for cutting and streamlining the hated Fed gov't.

Just another desperation post, got to keep attacking him and the economy or else he wins in a landside. Good luck with this, you'll need it.

no one person should have the power to merge anything.
It needs to be voted on by all.

Why would I want to give this Power Addict any more power. Sorry time to cut the Junky Obama off from his supply.

He doesn't need any extra power to make recommendations to congress anyway.

Obummers is no Ronald Regan.

It didn't take long to invoke a really clumsy reference to Godwin's Law.

I don't think Hitler came to power by asking for powers to cut federal expenditures, especially since the US is not WW2 Germany after other presidents have done it in the past. So I would like to see the proof of this claim.
