Mandatory service could include the National Guard here at home, not neccesarily going to fight wars. Domestic problems as well as foreign ones

The military is not a substitute for parenting. It's an inappropriate role.

I'd just like to say that it is interesting to see mainly conservatives advocating using government to force citizens to serve the country yet the same conservatives say that taxes are evil because it is government forcing money from them.

So government force is ok or not, which is it?

I agree, they need the discipline more than they need a useless degree and a hundred thousand dollar student loan.

How you got there, I have no clue. If that is what you want, you can propose that idea. You are still allowed to do that, under the 1st amendment. I wouldn't recommend that, but it that floats your boat, who am I to tell you how to feel.

Want to fabricate something else, for a diversion?

As if joining the military doesn't already bring up 1st Amendment disputes.

You said something ridiculous, so I replied with something even more ridiculous. Get it?

Socialist conscription? (chuckling) yeah, not all socialism is bad apparently. I'm curious as to what method will be employed or suggested for homeless vets who already did their time.

Wow, the whining is getting loud already. I'm much too busy to serve my country. Perhaps I'm spoilede living in a town where the majority of the population is either in the Army or retired from it.
More excuses than Vietnam
