Fact, King did not want, teach or preach that others should give him their stuff. He was not a proponent of "Redistribution of wealth."

Hence, we have nailed some liars at the start of this very thread. They have hijacked the civil rights movement for their Marxism, or are trying to do so.

City414, This is a fabulous video of Dr. King! Thank you for bringing it.

Why, then are you laughing? It did nothing to suggest he was anything other than what his niece, Alveda, G. Beck and many of us know that he was.

Thanks again. Yes, he told them to be strong. He never even hinted that they hadn't been "given" enough from the govt. or others.

CORETTA SCOTT KING WAS FOR
Quote:
During the 1980s, Coretta Scott King reaffirmed her long-standing opposition to apartheid, participating in a series of sit-in protests in Washington, D.C. that prompted nationwide demonstrations against South African racial policies.
RONALD REAGAN SUPPORTED SOUTH AFRICA POLICIES early on

Its considered to be a radical message based on the context of his words and some feell its racist. Also when king went outsidethe south he realized that other parts of the country were no different than the south this speech came right after that

False

"King began to speak of the need for fundamental changes in the political and economic life of the nation. Towards the time of his murder, King more frequently expressed his opposition to the war and his desire to see a redistribution of resources to correct racial and economic injustice.
Though his public language was guarded, so as to avoid being linked to communism by his political enemies, in private he sometimes spoke of his support for democratic socialism. In one speech, he stated that "something is wrong with capitalism" and claimed, "There must be a better distribution of wealth, and maybe America must move toward a democratic socialismKing had read Marx while at Morehouse, but while he rejected "traditional capitalism," he also rejected Communism because of its "materialistic interpretation of history" that denied religion, its "ethical relativism," and its "political totalitarianism.

Glenn Beck routinely praises MLK and routinely asks his listeners to act in a manner equal to the way that MLK preached.

Glenn Beck is also the only person in any media who shines the light on black patriots and political leaders throughout the colonial days.

One of the 1st people killed in the American Revolution was a black man. Many blacks served in the Continental Army.

Progressives try to hide the fact that racism was was indeed propagated by them.

Just try to be intellectually honest. Don't believe what you hear about someone.....trust your own eyes and ears.

i dont see MLK as a republican.

MLK was a strong union guy. he was actually going to rally with black garbage workers on strike in memphis when he was assassinated. black garbage workers were forced to sit with the garbage and some ended up getting killed by the machine cycling the garbage. they were also paid a fraction of what the white garbage workers were getting paid.

he was also anti war. never wouldve approved what is going on right now with empire of the world mentality. compare that to mitt romney tonight who wants to go all over the world and fight.

at the same time he would've been upset at the breakdown of family in general in society.

i agree with ron paul, and see him as more of a libertarian then anything else.
