in an interesting side note dean haskins, organizer of the upcoming "birther summit", has posted an article calling orly taitz's antics and legal incompetence a detriment to the birther cause and their chances of success at the georgia hearing.

Well according to the news clip there are legal ways he can avoid showing up. He is the president after all. Plus he has a campaign fundraiser planned for Thursday. More important.
My question is why don't they just address this and be done with it? The question lingers until he proves who he is. What happened to all the transparency? I guess the army of lawyers he has on retainer told him different.

Seems you "forgot" all the cries of "why doesn't he just do it and be done with it?" when Trump was peddling the long-form birth certificate request.
Obama showed it.

Answer: because you don't want it to be. And Obama realizes there's no satisfying fools.
I didn't hear anywhere in that clip that Obama will "ignore the judge's subpoena," or, "won't show up to prove citizenship."
What I DID hear was a report that some legal "experts" say there are say there are several legal avenues which the President could use to avoid actually showing up in person, but nobody suggested he wouldn't provide the evidence the judge requires. Just as you can send your lawyer to appear on your behalf in traffic court, so too can any defendant, even the President of the United States.
That's right, but who wants to wait that long? Hay can be made by false claims in the meantime, like this thread.
