Default Voter intimidation

We all saw voter intimidation on the national news during the 2008 election. I would ask that anyone who is capable, escort the elderly and the weak to the polls in 2012. This is something we should do on a bi-partisan basis. There is no place for intimidation at our polling places.

"We" didn't see anything. Speak for yourself. YOU saw it perhaps where you live. I didn't see it or hear about it. And that's because it didn't happen.

So there would be harm to walk an elderly person to the door of the polls anyway? What is the harm here?

If they can't walk themselves to the polls, then yea.

But otherwise, i don't see any issues.

Sometimes the elderly feel intimidated even when there is no real reason to be. THings that you and I would ignore become issues for them... What does it cost to simply walk up and ask "may I escourt you to the door?" Walk them up and walk them back to their vehicle.

Meh...i think you're attributing a bit too much fear to the elderly.

Then don't do it. That is entirely up to you.... I've met some fascinating people doing things like this. Believe it or not, a lot of them really do appreciate it, if for no other reason than the attention.
