No. Parents, families, church and community should decide what is right for their children to be taught, NOT the ridiculus bumbling beurocrats!

I do think all students should have sex education so that they don't make stupid decisions like not using contraceptives. But dammit that shouldn't be taught in first grade!

Just show teachers how to roll a rubber on a kielbasa and stick it in a donut, or ram a kielbasa in a beignet for gay sex studies.

A national standard would be tough. I think that there should be a federal mandatory standard of education, but not the exact way to teach it.

Each school, state, county, district, etc will be different in some ways.

I do think that when kids get to around 6th grade, some level of biological sexual education and preventative measures that can be taken for STD's and to prevent pregnancy should be taught.

Why should the ridiculous can't-tell-reality-from-fiction crowd have a say?

Parents need to start talking to their kids about sex instead of waiting for the schools to do it. Everybody knows kids don't listen in school.

Thats part of the problem. Religious folks won't teach their children about sex, then we all have to pay for their welfare babies with tax money because no one wants to feel bad about abortions or telling their kids to use a condom.

I think a national standard is fine-- Sex education is important an effective. For parents who don't want their children to participate there should always be an opt-out option.
