Because of another thread I am posting in (A question.. having children out of wedlock), and because of opinions that blame either one gender or the other, but not usually both, I am wondering how people consider which gender is more responsible for out of wedlock births.
So, to everyone:
1) Do you believe women are more at fault because they bear larger risks and consequences with pregnancy, childbirth and raising the children, or for some other reason I haven't thought of?
2) Do you believe men are more at fault for leading women on, making a baby and then leaving them or for some other reason I haven't thought of?
3) Do you believe both at fault equally?
Just curious, if anyone would like to chime in.

3 - They are equally at fault. I can't honestly believe that anyone having sex doesn't also know how babies are made. It takes two people to make a baby.
Both have equal "blame" - and equal responsibility - for preventing a pregnancy before and during sex. Women have options AFTERWARDS to prevent or terminate a pregnancy if they'd rather not have a child. So, given their additional options, I think women bear greater responsibility for "out of wedlock births." Men also have few ways to deceive regarding use of birth control - they're either using a condom, or they're not (not many can convincingly claim or prove either sterility or an effective vasectomy).
I understand that condoms break, the Pill fails, your man leaves you. But abortion is legal and there is no excuse not to utilise it if you are unable to afford to have a child on your own.
Ultimately the woman has control over her own reproduction.
