I just don't understand the concept that you are being forced to do anything....
Again, you would feel differently if you were a minority religion... I am Jewish, and it makes me VERY uncomfortable to be led in a Christian prayer. So to us "minorities," it really isn't a small thing - it's a very big thing, and completely disrespectful to say our feelings don't matter. The founding fathers may have been Christian (even that is up for debate), but the reality is that we are now a diverse nation. Would it be okay to suppress the minority races, and force them to do things they're uncomfortable with, just because the majority race thinks it's okay? Nope, in fact that would be unconstitutional, just as it is to force the majority religion upon the rest of us.

However, are we, now?! I don't think so. This nation just as the world is such an upside down, immoral mess or cesspool that it's an insult to God to claim we are "under Him." We didn't stray or fall off the proverbial wagon but have been pushed and shoved so far from Him that I think we're no longer what we were founded.
I guess the Marxist Communists are dang happy about the extent to which they've succeeded.
Psssst... not every "believer" is a Christian (ever heard of Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc?), and not every Atheist is immoral. Matter of fact, I've met more immoral Christians over the years than anything, and some of the BEST people I know are Atheists. Whoops.

Your Jewish, you have the same god as Christians, you just don't feel bad about the crucifixion of Jesus.

Thanks for another one!

Doesn't matter, I still don't like being dominated or bullied by Christians... and what about people from the other religions? Hindus are some of the kindest and most "pious" people you'll ever meet, and they don't believe in our G-d. I don't know about you, but I practice a little thing called respect for others. And like most Jews, I don't believe in forcing my faith upon anyone else - nor making a spectacle of it in public. Prayer is supposed to be personal, between you and G-d, not something you parade around like a political candidate. Guess you missed that part of the Bible, or maybe it's only in the Hebrew version.

Who's talking about political persuasions? Not me! Do you even know my political persuasion, without checking my posting history? And are you doubting my personal experiences with immoral Christians? For crying out loud, all you have to do is read these boards, and you'll see the most hate coming from them. Deny all you want, the facts of what I've seen and heard over the years won't change... sorry.

No, I'm an Atheist who focuses mostly on Buddhist beliefs, which is deity free.

Respect for my Country? Well, technically I wasn't born in the US, I have respect for many different countries that I've traveled to but I've never thought to pledge my allegiance to any of them. Not even my home country.
