You should be able to get your point across without resorting to rude hand gestures. She is an embarrassment to the office.
Did it never occur to you that she was perfectly representing the residents of her state?

The only disgrace to his office is the one who brought it up is the one who wants to gain re-election points.

And another failure.

So does standing up to an oppressor.

NBC Politics - Arizona governor, Obama in 'tense' exchange over book
No doubt she will win some points with the Teabaggers and racists who make up the base of the Republican party, but the majority of mainstream Americans will look on her and be revolted by that type of low-class white trash behavior.

As for disrespect toward this POTUS, he has done very little to earn any respect.

You can respect the office, but the occupant earns what he gets. And this one is getting just that (except for this unfounded adoration from his robots).
Your point fails about earning respect. As much as a scumbag as I thought Bush was, there is no way....I would have waived a finger in his face,in a setting like that...even if I was related to him or a elected official.....please.

Nope; he shouldn't have presumed to condescend to her by smiling while he's attempting to upbraid her for a segmant in her book AND putting his hand on her arm while he presumes to lecture her. he assumed he had her in a situation in public where she could not show umbrage and he ASSumed wrongly.

You try that chit where I come from and you'd get more than a finger up your nose! President Schmesident. What; he became god because you elected him?

Brewer says "she speaks with her hands, she didn't point at the President." They snapped the picture when her hand was up. Even President Obama says this is getting to much attention.

Jan Brewer is getting the last laugh...............Want to sell a book? Get into a heated discussion with the President. It worked for Arizona governor Jan Brewer. Sales of her book Scorpions for Breakfast have gone up a whopping 150,398 percent on Amazon.com over the past 24 hours.

Now, can we get something done about open borders???

Or how to treat your host?

Actually there are posts here that say Obama needed to be put in his place, so you are wrong about that, but obviously your vision is clouded by your hatred of Obama. Like it or not, he is the POTUS and deserves respect. Just because you disagree with the president over policy does not give you the right to stick your finger in his face. Jan Brewer is a lying media ***** who initially said that the meeting was cordial and had no complaints at that time, but goes on to write a book saying something totally different.

Read some of the posts in this thread from residents of Arizona. They aren't pleased with her and apparently she is a known liar, but I guess that doesn't matter to the Obama haters. All that matters is that it is anti-Obama. Lying, bigotry, hatred and praying for his death - anything goes. Ironically you are calling people robots when it is actually the Obama haters who immediately side against Obama on anything without even trying to know the facts. They were praying for his demise before he ever stepped foot in the Whitehouse, but apparently the majority of Americans are Obama Supporters and while the Republicans think this is going to get them votes, it's doing the opposite. Average people, who are not crazed frothing at the mouth wing nuts who watch Fox News all day and troll right-wing blogs for anti-Obama articles are not impressed with this tacky, classless behavior.

We have a tradition, in this country, of respecting the Office of Presdent of the United States. The governor needs a serious lesson in manners and etiquette when meeting a head of state. At the very least.
Yeah, she should have bowed to him, as he expected.
