Yep. Government will tell your kids what they should eat and drink because obviously parents don't know anything. I heard that soon they will be asking you to turn over your kids to the government as soon as they are born, so that the government can raise them in the best way possible. Parents suck. Government knows best!
Yet another reason to homeschool.... because the government can't tell me what I can feed my kids at home... YET!

Childhood obesity has more than tripled in the past 30 years.

The percentage of children aged 6–11 years in the United States who were obese increased from 7% in 1980 to nearly 20% in 2008.

Similarly, the percentage of adolescents aged 12–19 years who were obese increased from 5% to 18% over the same period.

In 2008, more than one third of children and adolescents were overweight or obese.

Overweight is defined as having excess body weight for a particular height from fat, muscle, bone, water, or a combination of these factors. Obesity is defined as having excess body fat.

Well I wouldn't go that far..homeschool.
One can always pick out what they want their kid to eat and buy a lunchbox and put it in there.

Voila..problem solved and big, bad government is not ruling your child's eating habits.

Can't the kids take their own whole milk to school? If the govt. is giving you milk, don't complain because you don't like the brand or type. If you don't like it, get your own.

Years ago, when I switched to 2% from whole milk, my daughter complained about it.

I simply told her...you are not a calf! There is no need for you to drink the milk nature produces to feed a baby that will eventually weigh 900 pounds!

I don't think it's the milk causing the obesity.
This fat crisis is fairly new yet kids have been getting milk in school since how long now ?
Years ago you only had whole milk yet we didn't have any obesity crisis.

Nah..it's not the milk.

Yes, ban the whole milk. Because we all know white milk binges are what's been causing obesity in kids.

I'm gong to demand that the government provide soda to me. If they don't I'm going to call them a big govt. nanny state.

They aren't telling you what you can put in your kid's lunchbox, either.

This is a ban on the sale or serving of whole milk with school lunches, it is not a ban on whole milk being brought to school.

I'm not so sure homeschooling is going to be best if you didn't get that.
