Oh, just wait! If this subversive-in-Office gets re-elected he'll go around congress and force his "Cap and Trade," probably by a new name to fool his sheeple voters and they will suffer along with the rest of us as our energy prices "necessarily skyrocket."
He's holding off on his radical destruction of our nation just this year, to get re-elected if he can.
HERE....him telling us about our future energy prices if he gets to be in power long enough.
NOTE him asking if you can "force" our representatives....yeah...freduian slip?
When obama took office, the average price of gas was approx $1.86...what is it now?
Remember, he has NO PROBLEM with $4-5 gas, none at all, as long as the rise is slow.
Funny, when gas spiked during the Bush Administration, all you nuts on the right said it was supply and demand....and you made all kinds of excuses for Big Oil.
But now, it aint about the market any longer, but Obama riding around to every gas station in America demanding that the service stations raise their prices. Supply and Demand has gone out of the window. It's Obama's fault now.
Interesting - these are the kinds of things that affect the middle class and working folks
There are two economic concepts you need to understand inflation and deflation. When Obama took over and the economy was in chaos there was deflation meaning that goods were becoming cheaper because so much money had been wiped out in the crash there were fewer dollars chasing more goods. As the economy has recovered from those doldrums modest inflation has occurred as is usual. If you are interested you might want to compare 2007 prices to today's prices. I think you will find them more comparable then 2009 prices.
Oh, he's a true Socialist, alright. Perhaps it is you that needs to take a second look because this one is without question.
But! "Socialist" is much too wimpy of a label to put on this Subversive president. He's a Marxist Communist. Here's plenty of *PROOF* that it is so.
Bon appetit~
Fail, Socialism is where the government controls both the means of production and cooperative management of the economy.
At no point has Pres. Obama advocated the government control the means of production. If he did, then why is the DJIA still in existence? Why do private corporations still exist? Under a socialist system, they cannot. But yet they do.
You honestly believe this isn't a bias piece? When GWB Jr. entered into office, the price of gase was $125, I know, I got my first new car that year. And remember it got as high as $5.00 in some area's over GWB. We haven't gotten that high, Thankfully since then. Is this piece trying to blame the President for gas prices? I'm trying to understand the mindset.

taratova is right, in the last half of 2008 oil price market speculation drove the price of a barrel of oil to nearly $150 per barrel. at that time gas prices spiked at $4.12 per gallon, as seen on the chart in this article;
but if you take the time to read the chart, you will also find that when oil prices dropped, rather dramatically i might add, so did the price of gasoline. right now the price of a barrel of oil is around $97, and yet the price of gasoline is around $3.85 on average. also note that theprice of gasoline has steadily risen since obama took office.
obama wants $5.00 per gallon gasoline, and he wants other energy prices high as well, and he is pushing energy policies to achieve that goal.

Are you suggesting that President Obama engage in price controls?
