I am highly offended that b/c I don't want to tell an anonymous internet board how much I give to charity that you want to imply I'm not giving anything. Some of us really do like to keep these things private. I'm sorry you don't. It's not very Christian of you, if you read what Christ said about it.
Yeah & everyone tells the truth on internet boards.
Sure they do.
I'm always suspect of this type of thread.
Shows how some tpeople think that money is the be all and end all of everything.
Not tax dollars. Real dollars straight from your wallet.
Do you walk the walk? Or is it like paying for every other noble idea that you champion ...........you expect it to be done with everyone else's money?
Tell us how you live up to your own ideals.
LOL...because Conservatives are the champions of charity? LMAO! Good one.

Planned Parent Hood thinks that, if these places want money they need to depend on their donors, that want to give, not forced to give. We saw if someone decides to not give to an organization that some don't agree with, money becomes everything.
If you're just talking donated in terms of cash, I've personally donated a significant sum of money to charities, including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and UNICEF, and fundraised more. No, I won't tell you how much.
I've personally helped over 20 people get unemployment insurance by navigating them through the bureaucratic process and representing them at administrative hearings, and helped dozens, if not hundreds more through my work helping to lead a non-profit for the same. I spent a summer volunteering at a refugee camp in Africa, teaching English and math to young children.
I don't much appreciate threads like this that start out with this accusatory tone that because a lot of people here can't afford to personally donate much, or choose not to tell you, that they're somehow hypocrites.

The real question is who much time have you donated as community service?
For the GOP, they are always consumed with money.
