I was very moved by the ad. I felt that it was completely apolitical and was a great reminder that the American spirit is still alive and well.
The teenagers in my household were equally impressed and honestly, this is exactly the message that they should be hearing.
Bravo Mr. Eastwood.
I thought so too. Having said that, I can also see why the typical "conservative" would have his/her feelings hurt. They want to see an American Muslim not portrayed as a terrorist as they want to see an America that is doing better.
After years of little to no hiring the Chrysler plant that is located just south of the Wisconsin border in Illinois has put on 3 full shifts and is hiring like crazy. Suddenly 100s of people in our small city are working and so relieved and happy that it is lifting the spirits of everyone. There are hundreds of thousands of people who are so grateful for the auto bailouts which actually produced jobs for so many. Compare that to the bailouts of Wall Street that resulted only in large bonuses for the very people that destroyed our economy.

Actually the ad was paid for by American taxpayers who are still on the hook for billions for this bailout.
At least it wasnt an ad for AIG or Bank/skank of America
