India thinks US internet rules are too lax. They are the latest government to ask Google/Facebook and 21 other companies to remove "offensive" content and gave them a list of websites and 2 weeks to come up with a monitoring plan.

Google and Facebook have removed from their Web sites content the Indian government has deemed offensive, according to

The Internet giants are among 21 companies being forced to take down photographs, videos, text, and other items officials consider anti-religious or anti-social.

series of illustrations that show Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Gandhi in "compromising positions," as well as another that depict
