Bye Bye Prop 8. You can't deny civil rights by a vote, that is inherently against our constitution.

Great decision by the 9th Circuit of Appeals!

Waiting for the haters to come out and whine about how the will of the people was overturned -- which is a tiresome and flawed argument from the start.

Actually what it said was that the only purpose for this proposition was to deny equal protection and status to the relationships of same sex couples- NOTHING ELSE, and therefore was inherently unconstitutional. It didn't comment one whit on the status of "traditional" marriage because this doesn't affect it in anyway whatsoever.

Nice try. But in fact, it's a sign of my contempt for what that particular court has done with that trust: Abusing it, violating it and the Constitution it's based on, and otherwise acting like they are a group of appointed czars whose job it is to evade the Constitution rather than uphold and obey it.

Marriage doesn't necessarily mean "one man and one woman",
Not any more, it doesn't. In nine western states, at least.

Until the next appeal.

As always, they will get the government they deserve.

9th circuit court is the most liberal in the nation.

It's going to the supreme court. Period.

They still cannot begin reissuing marriage licenses to same sex couples in California.

Are you calling it a "Circus" Court out of intentional sarcasm or because you're unclear on the difference between "circus" and "circuit"?

Let this be a lesson to ALL conservatives not just Republicans. Appointments of Federal Judges including SCOTUS is one of the single most important lasting influence a POTUS can have on this country. All you Paul, Santorum and Gingrich people better get behind Romney unless you want four more years of appointments by the current CINC.

Which is exactly what I've been hoping for from the beginning of this.

So the Supreme Court can legalize gay marriage throughout the entire United States, and cavemen can stop their idiotic crying about issues that don't affect them.

With the 9th it's the same difference.
