You missed the fact that a small, but significant portion of the country will be legally married to a same sex member, one of their pets or other barnyard animals.

So you believing we are moving toward outlawing anti-gay thoughts and making 9/11 national Islamic day?

Yeah, that's very leftist.

I wouldn't necessary call it Conservative either. It's basically lunatic-fringe blather... But now-a-days, unfortunately, lunatic-fringe blather is not highly differentiated from mainstream conservative thinking. Sad. Thanks RushGlenn.

Your assumption is false. Not all of us Leftists are Liberal, Progressive, or Socialist. I'm a Libertarian Socialist, and I'm a huge proponent of gay rights and gay marriage. I just hate the idea of government pretending to care about it's people when they have another nefarious agenda. Government doesn't give ten flying effs about anyone, let alone gays.

Anyone that believes that Obama will be a dictator in 20 years and private property will be abolished is a lunatic

While I agree with you on the Obama front, I'm not ruling out the "possibility" of a dictator ruling America in the distant future. Again, I hope it doesn't happen.

Its almost certain that it will happen at some point in the future. Whether its a dictator we elect or one that takes over by force, whether next decade or next century, it will happen. Under the right sequence of events, that dictator could be Obama. He is already riding a fine line in terms of grabbing power that is not constitutionally his.

Twenty years from now there will be someone sitting at their desk contemplating America 20 years from then with a similarly pessimistic scenario.

[whatever happened to American optimism - or is that myth?]

Here are just a few of my predictions of where this country is going and where we will be in 20 years.
Some of these I could cope with. These select few might fix a couple of the problems in this country.

Quote:
-Homeownership is a thing of the past; The government owns all homes and they provide all citizens a home according to the size of their family and their income.
This could fix the homeless population and eliminate bank corruption.

Quote:
-Every citizen is required to have a National ID implant which contains an RFID chip to track everybody.
This will fix the illegal problem we have. No chip? Send them to a remote island somewhere.

Quote:
-Christian churches are not allowed to display religious symbolism on the outside of their church building as to not offend non-Christians; churches are taxed at 90% of their income, so most Christianity has moved underground; Christian television and radio broadcasting has been banned
Will this include elimination of Christmas music from Musak systems during the holidays as well?

Quote:
-The government limits families to one child per household as has been for decades in China. If a woman is found pregnant with a second child, an abortion is forced. This is to limit population growth.
This will help unemployment levels drop in the future.

Quote:
-Homeschooling is banned; Grades K-16 are mandatory, after which the government will place individuals into a job based on their skills
Finally! A system that makes sense! Does this eliminate affirmative action?

Hey, no system is perfect, right?!!!!:dub ious: [/quote]

Our last President, Bush, did much of the same thing, but he isn't a dictator and left office. If you think a dictatorship is coming pretty soon, then I disagree with you on this point.
