The guy is a major douche. I especially loathe people who troll RIP posts and articles about people who died. There is a special place in hell for them.
That said, I do find the fact that they tracked this guy down really creepy.
I think if someone wants to troll a message board for some dark humor, there's a way to do that and stay within the boundaries of propriety, even if some of the comments go overboard. But going onto someone's personal facebook site and mocking the death of someone while knowing that people are going through a period of bereavement is crossing a line in a big way.
But I do not agree that BBC had the right to confront him and put him on TV. As ugly as his opinions were, he had a right to them. It is called Free Speech.
If there's one thing worse than a troll it's vindictive stalker. I'd've flattened this guy on the spot.
