Yes, I understand the difference between interior, exterior walls, cartridge composition, and over-penetration concerns.
You know not the composition of my walls be they interior or exterior. If you choose to occupy a residence of less than optimal wall construction for the protection/defense of yourself or your family that really is a personal problem, IMO.
I think it's great that you live in a fortress. I live in a typical stick house in California. While not as bullet resistant as a bunker, it doesn't serve double duty as a tomb every time the ground shakes. Since my house is 110 years old, I can't really complain about the quality of it's construction.
For home protection, I lean toward 00 Buck and .357 for simplicity, reliability, and the instant gratification associated with a DA wheel gun or a pump and of course the mobility in tight spaces not afforded with hunting rifles.
You seem to be antagonistic for some odd reason though I've said nothing counter to your opinions so I'm going to leave now.
Depends on the load and where on that wall you hit, or window. Saying don't miss is great in theory but in an actual shooting situation you may find that everyone can miss on occasion, even the best shots. I always suggest a shotgun with a medium/heavy load for those that are not shooters (meaning you practice ALOT) it does not take the same amount of skill to use accurately, it does not kill the people next door and will out perform most weapons that a criminal is likely to be carrying.
Oh, you don't have to worry about me. I shot 300 rounds of my .45 ACP reloads out of my Wilson Combat CQB last night. Precision Delta 230 grain FMJ, 4.8 grains Bullseye, Winchester WLP primer, COL 1.250", taper crimp 0.469", cases trimmed 0.888". I shoot at least 200 rounds a week out ofsomething. The little man at the top left corner of the silhouette is fun to shoot at, about 17 yards.
She was fortunate
Most would take her weapon and "teach her a lesson" in front of her son
Restraint when you are attacked is hazardous to your health
