Rand Paul is another of the nuts in the GOP. I thought he's already advocated, like his father, ending all foreign aid entirely. Hasn't he? In the grand scheme of things, particularly in Washington, what he says or does is almost meaningless.

Why doesn't he propose ending aid to Israel too? They need the 3 billion? If he wants to sound legitimate, then be fair about it.

Baby steps. Egyptian aid is really to benefit Israel, gotta have a stable limited anti-israel Egypt at all costs.

Except we both know that the administration won't follow through. They are just using that as a barganing chip. When Egypt calls their bluff they will fold like they usually do.

Man, you guys are "baby stepping" me to death. Everytime i call out a Republican on matters of money, i hear the song about baby steps.

C'mon....enough with the toddler sh*t. Either walk like a man on this stuff or don't walk at all. 3 billion to Israel is just as dumb when they're a wealthy nation. I understand the reasons for the aid to Egypt, but on principle, they should've both been stopped a long time ago.

About 6 months ago Hillary was fighting House efforts to cut funding to Egypt. Typical Clinton administration, I mean Obama administration , flip flopping and trying to save face. Sure, they get pissy with Egypt when the Obama supporting union activists get caught stirring the pot (see Ray Lahood's son).

"Well, I think what you have to do is you have to look," Paul said. "When you send foreign aid, you actually [send] quite a bit to Israel's enemies. Islamic nations around Israel get quite a bit of foreign aid, too.
"You have to ask yourself, are we funding an arms race on both sides? I have a lot of sympathy and respect for Israel as a democratic nation, as a, you know, a fountain of peace and a fountain of democracy within the Middle East."
Blitzer pressed, "End all foreign aid including the foreign aid to Israel as well. Is that right?" he asked.
Paul answered, "Yes."

So you think that foreign aid and military aid are one and the same thing. I didn't know that all foreign aid involved weapons.
