I give President Obama credit, I think he's a bright guy. I happen to disagree with many of his policies, but still, I don't think he's dumb.

But some of the people he surrounds himself with...that's another story. Eric Holder...I don't see anyone even trying to make a case for the man. Janet Napolitino? Same way...she makes HS look bad with statements, denials and general lack of integrity. Morton with ICE..who refuses to even do his job with regard to prosecuting and deporting illegals, even ones caught or turned over to his agency. Timmy "turbo tax" Geithner...the Treasury Secretary that can't manage to do his own taxes?

How can a man as bright as Obama is supposed to be surround himself with so many horribly incompetent people?

Barack surrounds himself with such people so that he won't be embarrassed by always being the dumbest guy in the room.

Point to any administration and you can find idiots...lot's of them.

Who told GWB that going into Iraq made sense? Those were all supposedly smart guys, weren't they?

..sometimes, in business anyway...as one climbs the ladder of responsibility and power, one surronds oneself with people that are 'loyal' as opposed to the best and brightest...just an observation

Obama seems like the type of guy who wants keep everyone happy. That's how he has rolled throughout his presidency. As you can see, that attitude often doesn't work out so well.

Really smart people don't enter politics because they know they will have to end up dishonestly promoting things they don't believe in and when you're smart, the stupidity around you becomes way more irritating than it would be to a dumb person. Smart people don't do well in politics because you have to put up with so much stupidity and BS pandering that it causes serious depression. Also, I think President Obama is intelligent but just indifferent to people and their concerns, he's all about power and prestige, same as every other politician.

Hearing this from me, oh wow! i honesly don't find Obama to be stupid either.

However for what ever reason, sometimes the company in which one hangs out with or around, influence, in either a negative or positive way. Sometimes the people in which you hang out, and get information from, make you look bad.

Hear this expression sure you have? you are who you hang out with. And sometimes the company in which you do, makes you look none the less any better.
