it was at a "surprise (AZ) tea party" meeting that joe originally announced the cold case posse investigation after receiving a petition with 350(?) signatures from tea party members and a stack of "evidence" from jerome corsi. so the support of other tea parties isn't shocking ( altho a little heart breaking for those tea party members who desire to be taken seriously ).
joe recently announced to WND that he will be releasing the cold case posse investigation findings on march 1. this is the fifth time joe has said he will be releasing the report but the first with a hard date ("by the end of the year", "january", "early february", "within the next 30 days").
i'm dying to see it but i'm not sure what it could contain more than just repeating corsi's accusations ( that already went before a judge, and got shot down, at the GA hearing ). there have been no official requests or court actions against the hawaiian DOH from the posse for any documentation. nor has there been any requests/actions against the social security administration for SS# information.
We'll see how much they stand behind him on March 1st when he holds his "Cold Case Posse" press conference and announces that his "investigation" has accomplished exactly nothing.
They have supposedly been "investigating" this for six months already. They began their "investigation" by insisting that they were going to need to see the president's "original" birth certificate, as well as the "microfilms" from 1961.
Yet... here we are a half year later and no one from the "Cold Case Posse" has ever bothered to contact the Hawaii Department of Health and even asked.
Paraphrasing Marge Gunderson from the movie "Fargo."
"I'm not sure that I agree with you 100% on your police work there, Joe."

Who cares? The Tea Party support of Arpaio isn't about the birther issue. The two quoted articles have no relationship to each other whatsoever. That's just you all trying to use guilt by association to score political points.
Tea Party is against the federal government investigation of Arpaio for trying to enforce the immigration laws they want to ignore -> Arpaio is a birther loon -> Tea Party supports the birther movement.
That chain of thought only works in your rhetoric. In reality it's invalid reasoning.
