Germany spends less educating the stupid:

German secondary education includes five types of school. The Gymnasium is designed to prepare pupils for university education and finishes with the final examination Abitur, after grade 12 or 13. The Realschule has a broader range of emphasis for intermediate pupils and finishes with the final examination Mittlere Reife, after grade 10; the Hauptschule prepares pupils for vocational education and finishes with the final examination Hauptschulabschluss, after grade 9 or 10 and the Realschulabschluss after grade 10. There are two types of grade 10: one is the higher level called type 10b and the lower level is called type 10a; only the higher level type 10b can lead to the Realschule and this finishes with the final examination Mittlere Reife after grade 10b. This new path of achieving the Realschulabschluss at a vocationally-oriented secondary school was changed by the statutory school regulations in 1981 - with a one-year qualifying period. During the one-year qualifying period of the change to the new regulations, pupils could continue with class 10 to fulfil the statutory period of education. After 1982, the new path was compulsory, as explained above. Other than this, there is the Gesamtschule, which combines the approaches. There are also Förderschulen/Sonderschulen. One in 21 pupils attends a Förderschule.[2][3] Nevertheless the Förderschulen/Sonderschulen can also lead, in special circumstances, to a Hauptschulabschluss of both type 10a or type 10b, the latter of which is the Realschulabschluss. Most German children only attend school in the morning. There are usually no provision for serving lunch. The amount of extracurricular activities is determined individually by each school and varies greatly.

Why would a slaveowner have ever freed their slaves? It almost certainly would not be in their economic interest to do so.

There are no politicians except Buddy Roemer, until he was closed out of the Republican debates for lack of money (?) even talking about this situation.
Yep. So how many are willing to recognize the republican camp is overrun by evil? Or is it their constituency turned evil demanding actual Christian Americans represent them?

When economic philosophies conspire with foreign policy, tying the hands of the entire population behind their backs prohibiting fiscal self defense it's an institutionalized negation of stewardship of our nation. Tea congress needs to be brought up on charges of gross malfeasance and high treason. Matter of fact, so do their think tanks, lobbyists, and every last idiot defending the patriot act at the expense of the constitution. Poetic justice we could always put those FEMA camps they built for others to appropriate use, and the entire dubbya cabinet live the rest of their lives in Gitmo until they prove themselves innocent.

Did not realize Obama was a Republican.

You missed a few things. Corrupt religion to deliver them to wolves. Prosperity preachers thrive where? If they've culturally conditioned them to be predators in lieu of genuine citizenship, it explains the echo of psychological torment of blacks stuck in their own sickness as a community. It's the crap on their boots from these individuals convinced only plantation masters have the right to exist. And like any other battered woman, she cannot help but defend his right to abuse her. She's so far in the sickness no other life can be imagined.

See these 'real Americans' now?

SAT scores are heavily influenced by demographics. So you can't compare mostly black DC schools with white States.

Try Oklahoma with Connecticut and get back to me...they both are 80% white. And while your at it ..you must take into account participation rates of the ACT/SAT test as well.
If you want to do that analysis, feel free. I decline. You're just ducking and dodging the undeniable fact: US education is not underfunded. Second only to Switzerland. And we far outspent nations such as Japan and Finland that regularly demolish us in student performance. So how can we be underfunded?

Not only that, ed spending has virtually skyrocketed in the US over the last 40 years. See figure 2 at this link for a graph of US ed spending vs. US ed performance. Spending goes up, up, up, while performance is flat or declining.

Stealing is immoral, agreed, but where that theft occurs has always been the issue.

I've worked fortune 500 for a long time and I've never heard any such thing you're peddling from my employer, employees, or customers as a term and condition of legitimate business contract.

Worship corporations much, do we?

Oppsie you missed another crucial detail. Whose bright idea was it (80's) to reform education by teaching for the test, claiming cost savings measure & tax relief? Republicans. Then come back years later when that pig in a poke bears fruit and employers complain, and right on time like a train, there they go pointing at dems being to blame for minimal standards they created?

Why are we negotiating with terrorists?

Really? Which government agency pays stock market investors for their losses? Did you know that owners of banks have collectively lost over a trillion dollars in market value over the last several years?

If you are right about "the primary mission of this economy," why then have incomes fallen much more dramatically for the top 1% since 2007 than for the 99%?

The middle class cashed out hundreds of billions of dollars in home refinancings to help create the mortgage bubble, many bought homes they could not afford, many others put ridiculous amounts of money into home "improvements." They, like everybody else, fell prey to the idea that "you can't lose money in real estate."

If we do not get a handle on unsustainable entitlements and other government spending, the country will burn just as certainly as Greece is burning now. Minor adjustments now will prevent major pain later. Take off your class warfare glasses and try to see clearly.
