Ron Paul reintroduces Parental Consent Act, prohibiting federal funding for psychiatric screening of children

I really do hope this passes...government has to much control over how our children are raised...Let's hope common sense prevails here and this passes.

Whoa! Paul truly has the right idea here. If they want to talk mandatory mental health screenings. The place to start is definitely with the teachers; not the students!

"He decries the recommendations of a mandated group called the "New Freedom Commission on Mental Health," which he says "has recommended that the federal and state governments work toward the implementation of a comprehensive system of mental-health screening for all Americans."

"That commission, he says, wants "the implementation of a comprehensive system of mental-health screening for all Americans," a process which would begin "in public schools as a prelude to expanding it to the general public."

Oh no - some egg head is going to take it upon themselves to report which child is nuts and which child is passable ....what a world...nothing worse than experts...only the parents know their child...fully - others - might not like the look of your kid and give them a failing mental health grade.

I guess he can pair up with the scientologists on this one. I'm not sure how people think that the government has so much say in how children are raised.
