No, I think you're supposed to be able to climb into the heads of the black people on the video and tell him WHY they seemed excited to meet Mitt Romney? You should know that, you know?
According to the other post they were excited because Romney used slang terms like "bling bling" and "who let the dogs out" on MLK day. Did MLK speak like that?
I posted this on the Obama thread of the same subject:

Many people pick up accents very easily.
My cousin, who was a native Washington DC/Maryland resident moved to South Carolina. My goodness, when she came back after ONE year, she had the heaviest South Carolina drawl you'd ever heard, yet her husband didn't.
My sister in law, who lived in Virginia for 25 years, moved to Massachusetts and now she sounds like she's from New England. My grandmother never lost her New England accent even after living in Virginia for 40 years.
Anyway, some people just pick up on this stuff way easily than others. A white woman in my office who works with predominantly black coworkers has this going on. It's not the first time I've seen it.
If Romney has spent some time with blacks in some form (lived amongst them or worked with them a lot on a daily basis), I'll give him a pass. Some people do pick up accents/dialects easier than others. I'm not thinking this is case but I do not know a whole lot about Romney.
The thing is that you have to look for the obvious. Mitt gives the impression to the average joe that there are blacks that are thrilled to see him, but look closely. Mitt slick as he is crashed a parade that had alot of blacks in it, also notice that the ones that talked to him were mainly high school age kids. The first group looked to be more foreign than Americans. In one scene there was a woman on the phone when he came by, she knew who he was but never bothered to get off of the phone to acknowledge him.
All in all mitt is as phoney as a three dollar bill, and the blacks know it
It's always hysterical when Mitt Romney tries to identify with an audience--no matter who makes up the audience. I'm sure he's got a wonderful shtick all worked out in case he finds himself talking to Chinese-Americans in San Francisco. (And I think I'd pay money to hear him say "Fuhgeddaboudit" in New York!)
Does he speak like a New York Jew when he's in Florida?
