A little rhetorical on my part, but what have we done to fuel it?: Meddling in that part of the world?
Even if we were not there, the Sunnis and the Shias and the Kurds and the various sects of those groups would be at war with each other: sometimes for religous reasons, sometimes tribal, sometimes for stealing someones goat.

Playing the victim card is much more convenient than dealing with the realities. No? If we weren't there, why would they be targeting you? They don't seem to do that to Japan, or South Korea or Switzerland or Sweden or Norway or Germany. And why do you think they waited for so long to demonstrate such displeasure?

Imagine if the US and UK never overthrew a sovereign Iran in the 50s. The Iranian Revolution and take over by conservative Islam, with its anti-Western view, would have never occurred, the Iranian hostage crisis wouldn't have happened, there would have never been an Iran-Iraq war, the Gulf War would have never happened, and the quagmire we are in now over 911 would have never happened either. Amazing how one mistake over greed for oil has cost us so dearly.
What's done is done, can't un-spill milk.

Too bad, so sad...Now it's time to nuke em.

What do you do with a disease that is spreading out of control?

Their minds have been poisoned, you can't reprogram someone's mind that's been totally corrupted by a fascist religious philosophy because it will take too long.

Send in Seal Team 6 and:

Spoiler
Sequester and kill all their leaders. That's what needs to be done with Islam.

For those interested in Smerican Interventionism I recommend "Blowback" by Chalmers Johnson along with the companion books. We have spent decades interveining with other countries to protect our and the British investors.

There is radical Islam, there is no such thing as conservative Islam. Wrong impression made by that conservative label in this context.
