What pulls out of it? Considering that extremism exists in every society and the idea of eliminating it is every bit as much a non-sense as was the "war against terrorism". You can only avoid it by not fueling in chaos. As that is the recipe recruiters look for. And we've engaged in it for decades.

Playing the victim card is much more convenient than dealing with the realities. No? If we weren't there, why would they be targeting you? They don't seem to do that to Japan, or South Korea or Switzerland or Sweden or Norway or Germany. And why do you think they waited for so long to demonstrate such displeasure?
Imagine if the US and UK never overthrew a sovereign Iran in the 50s. The Iranian Revolution and take over by conservative Islam, with its anti-Western view, would have never occurred, the Iranian hostage crisis wouldn't have happened, there would have never been an Iran-Iraq war, the Gulf War would have never happened, and the quagmire we are in now over 911 would have never happened either. Amazing how one mistake over greed for oil has cost us so dearly.
